How to Upgrade cPanel Software in WHM

• Log in to WHM

  ◦ Go to https://yourdomain.com/whm or https://yourdomain.com:2087

  ◦ Enter your root username and password

  ◦ Click Log In
  
  
  

• Open Update Preferences

• ◦ In the left-hand menu, type Update Preferences in the search bar

  ◦ Click on Server Configuration → Update Preferences
  
  
  

• Set the Recommended Update Tier
  

  ◦ Under “cPanel & WHM Updates,” select Release from the available tiers

  ◦ This tier provides stable, production-ready updates

  ◦ Click Save to apply your changes
  
  
  

• Run the Update
  

  ◦ After saving, click the here link that appears to apply updates immediately

  ◦ The upgrade process may take up to 1 hour depending on your server size and connection speed

  ◦ Once complete, refresh your WHM dashboard
  
  
  
  
• Confirm the Update

  ◦ After refreshing WHM, look at the upper right-hand corner of your panel

  ◦ Your new cPanel version number should now be displayed

   Congratulations — your cPanel software is now successfully upgraded!
