Visit your cPanel login URL (for example, https://yourdomain.com:2083).
Enter your username and password, then click Log in to access your cPanel dashboard.
In the Preferences section, click Password & Security.
The page displays two main sections:
Change Password — to update your current cPanel password.
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) — to add an extra layer of login protection.
In the Change Password section, enter your details:
Old Password — Your current password.
New Password — Your new secure password.
New Password (Again) — Re-enter the new password for confirmation.
Use the Password Generator to create a strong password automatically.
Click Change your password now! to apply the update.
Note: Changing your cPanel password also updates the FTP, Web Disk, and email access credentials if they are linked to the same user.
Scroll down to the Two-Factor Authentication section.
Click Set Up Two-Factor Authentication.
Scan the QR code with your preferred authentication app (such as Google Authenticator or Authy).
Enter the 6-digit security code from your app and click Configure Two-Factor Authentication.
Once set up, you will need to provide both your password and a time-based security code each time you log in to cPanel.
Log out of cPanel and log back in using your new password.
If 2FA is enabled, enter the code generated by your authentication app.
Verify that you can access your dashboard successfully.
