Overview:
When you first access WHM or cPanel on a new VPS, you might see a "Your connection is not private" warning. This is because the server's Hostname needs a valid SSL certificate to secure services like Mail, FTP, and the WHM interface itself.
Steps to Secure Server Services:
Log in to WHM as root.
Search for "Manage Service SSL Certificates" in the sidebar.
You will see a list of services (Calendar, cPanel, Exim Mail, FTP).
Click on "Browse Certificates" or simply click "Apply Free Certificate" at the top.
The system will use "AutoSSL" to fetch and install a free certificate for your server's hostname.
Once finished, the server will restart its services, and the "Not Secure" warning will disappear.
Pro Tip: To ensure your customers' websites also get free SSL automatically, go to "Manage AutoSSL", select the "Providers" tab, choose "Let's Encrypt", and click Save. This will automatically secure every new website created on your VPS.
