Summary
Security is a top priority at Thamara. You may need to change your database user password if you suspect it has been compromised, if a developer has finished their work on your site, or if you have simply forgotten it. This process updates the password in cPanel, but remember that you must also update your website's configuration file to match.
Steps to Change the Password:
Log in to your cPanel.
Navigate to the Databases section and click MySQL Databases.
Scroll down to the Current Users section at the bottom of the page.
Locate the user you want to modify and click the Change Password link next to it.
Enter a new strong password or use the Password Generator for maximum security.
Click the Change Password button to confirm.
Tip for Thamara Users:
Crucial Step: After changing the password in cPanel, your website will show a "Database Connection Error" until you update the password in your site's configuration file (e.g.,
wp-config.phpfor WordPress orconfiguration.phpfor Joomla). Always keep these two synchronized to prevent downtime.
