How to Create and Manage PostgreSQL Databases in cPanel

Step 1: Log in to cPanel

1. Access your cPanel account using your login credentials.
   
   
   
   
   
   
   

Step 2: Access PostgreSQL Databases

1. In the cPanel dashboard, scroll down to the Databases section, Click on PostgreSQL Databases.
   
   
    

Step 3: Create a New Database

1. In the Create a New Database field, enter a descriptive name for your database.
• Example: mywebsite_db
2. Click Create Database, cPanel will confirm that the database was successfully created.
   
   
   
   

Step 4: Create a Database User

1. Scroll down to the Add New User section.
2. Enter a username and strong password.
• Example: Username: mywebsite_user
• Use the Password Generator for a secure password.
3. Click Create User, cPanel will confirm the user creation.
   
   
   
   

Step 5: Assign User to Database

1. Scroll to the Add User to Database section.
2. Select the user from the dropdown menu.
3. Select the database to assign the user to.
4. Click Add.
5. On the next screen, select the privileges you want to grant the user:
• ALL PRIVILEGES is commonly used for full access.
6. Click Make Changes to confirm.
