Summary Docker:-
is a revolutionary technology that allows you to run applications in isolated "containers." This means you can install almost any software (like specialized databases, internal tools, or even games) without worrying about library conflicts. With the Docker Manager at Thamara, you can pull images from Docker Hub and manage your containers (Start, Stop, Restart) through a simple visual interface.
Steps to Use Docker Manager:
Log in to your control panel and click the Docker icon.
Install Service: If it's your first time, click "Install Docker" and wait for the service to start.
Pull an Image: Go to the "Images" tab and search for the application you want (e.g., mysql or nginx).
Create Container: Once the image is downloaded, click "Create Container."
Configuration: Map your ports (e.g., 80 to 8080) and set your volume paths for persistent data.
Launch: Click "Submit" to start your container.
Tip for Thamara Users:
Using Docker requires a basic understanding of ports and volumes. Always ensure that the port you map in Docker is opened in your server’s firewall settings to allow external traffic to reach your containerized app.
