Adding, Editing, and Deleting DNS Records (A, CNAME, MX) - (WHM)

Once you have accessed the DNS Zone Manager in Thamara, you can manage the core records that connect your domain name to various services:

1. A Record

Connects your domain or subdomain to an IP address. (Example: mydomain.com -> 123.456.78.9).

2. CNAME Record

Points a subdomain to another domain name. (Example: www.mydomain.com -> mydomain.com).

3. MX Record

Controls where your emails are received. If your mail is hosted on another server (like Google or Microsoft), this is what you need to change.

Steps to Add and Edit:

  • To Add a Record: Locate the domain, click Manage, then click the + Add Record button. Select the record type, enter the required information, and click Save Record.

To Edit a Record: Find the record you wish to modify and click Edit next to it, make your changes, and save.

  • To Delete a Record: Simply click Delete next to the record you no longer need.
