Protecting Your Server with cPHulk Brute Force Protection (WHM)

Summary: cPHulk is a security layer that blocks IP addresses that repeatedly fail to log in to your server services (WHM, cPanel, FTP, Mail).

Advice for Thamara Users: Always add your own static IP address to the "Whitelist Management" in cPHulk to prevent locking yourself out by mistake.

Steps:

  1. Navigate to Security Center -> cPHulk Brute Force Protection.

  2. Click the toggle to Enable.

  3. Go to the Configuration Settings tab to adjust lockout periods (e.g., block for 1 day after 5 failed attempts).

  4. Use the Whitelist Management tab to add your trusted IPs.

  5. Click Save.
