Securing Websites with ModSecurity (WHM)

Summary: ModSecurity is a Web Application Firewall (WAF) that detects and blocks common attacks like SQL Injection and Cross-site Scripting (XSS).

Advice for Thamara Users: If a specific feature on your website (like a contact form) stops working, check the ModSecurity logs; you might need to disable a specific rule that is causing a "False Positive".

Steps:

  1. Go to Security Center.

  2. Click on ModSecurity™ Configuration.

  3. Ensure Connections Engine is set to "Process the rules".

  4. To manage rules for specific users, go to ModSecurity™ Tools to see which hits are being blocked in real-time.
