Managing ModSecurity Rules for Web Protection

Summary: ModSecurity is a Web Application Firewall (WAF). It inspects incoming web traffic and blocks malicious requests like SQL Injection.

Advice for Thamara Users: Keep ModSecurity enabled. If a legitimate action on your site is blocked, check the "ModSecurity Tools" to whitelist that specific rule rather than turning off the entire firewall.

Steps:

  1. Go to Security Center -> ModSecurity™ Configuration.

  2. Set the engine to Process the rules.

  3. To view blocked hits, go to ModSecurity™ Tools.

  4. If a rule is causing issues, you can disable it specifically for a single domain.
