Host Access Control (Restricting Service Access)

Summary: This tool allows you to restrict access to specific services (like SSH or WHM) to only certain IP addresses.

Advice for Thamara Users: For high-security environments, you can configure the server to ONLY allow login from your specific IP. This makes it impossible for anyone else to even reach the login screen.

Steps:

  1. Navigate to Security Center -> Host Access Control.

  2. In the Daemon column, choose the service (e.g., sshd or whostmgrd).

  3. In the Access List, enter your allowed IP.

  4. In Action, set it to allow.

  5. Add a second rule for the same service with an IP address ALL and action deny to block everyone else.
