Enabling Shell Fork Bomb Protection

Summary: A "Fork Bomb" is a type of attack that consumes all server resources (CPU/RAM), causing the server to crash. This tool limits account resources to prevent this.

Advice for Thamara Users: This is a "Set and Forget" security feature. Enabling it ensures that a single runaway process or malicious script won't take down your entire server.

Steps:

  1. Go to Security Center -> Shell Fork Bomb Protection.

  2. Click the Enable Protection button.

  3. This will set limits on the number of processes and the amount of memory a single user can use via SSH
