How to Setup FTP on New VPS & Dedicated Hosting Servers

• Log in to the WHM through the domainname.com/whm or domainname.com:2087
• When you get to the login screen, enter your login information.

  ◦ Th root username will be used.

  ◦ The password you'll use is your server’s root password.
  
  
  

• If this is your first time logging into WHM, you may see a page titled Feature Showcase. Click on Exit to WHM at the bottom of the page.
  
  
  
  
  

• Search for FTP in the top left corner of the WHM, Select FTP Server Selection.
  
  

• Here, the default setting for FTP is Disabled, We advise using the PURE-FTPD service as it is the server's faster, more reliable FTP service.
  
  

• Once the new option is selected, scroll down and click Save.
